Love love love this place and can’t say enough positive things about the owners! Very clean, knowledgeable, patient, and honest. The communication was unlike any other bird store I have been to. We purchased three birds from them today and I could not be happier about my new babies. 10/10 I definitely recommend.

Wonderful people and Very informative about the birds they are selling. They do offer a variety of exotic birds as we recently purchased 2 ringnecks. The only downside is the birds for sale are not banded. I know its optional for a breeder but I think its something they should consider. Nevertheless we are happy to have done business with them and would not mind driving 2 hours for future purchases. Thanks guys, Rain & Kermit are settling in nicely!

Carlos was very helpful and informative to both my husband and I. He answered all of our questions without hesitation and provided us with the most beautiful pair of Meyer's Parrot's at an amazing price. He has great customer service and shows a genuine dedication to his animals. If you are looking for quality forever pets, great customer service and decent prices, I highly recommend visiting their shop!

Highly Recommend – A Wonderful Experience at Cheech Exotic Birds If you’re looking for a pet parrot, I highly recommend Cheech Exotic Birds! Although the store doesn’t have a large sign out front, don’t let that deter you—once you pull in and find it, you’ll be glad you did. The first thing that stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the space is. There were no unpleasant odors, and the birds were clearly well cared for. Many of them were out of their cages, actively playing on bird-safe playgrounds. All appeared healthy, social, and energetic, with no signs of stress or feather plucking—something you don’t always see in corporate pet stores. Carlos, the owner, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. As a first-time bird owner, I had a lot of questions, and he took the time to walk me and my family through different breeds, carefully explaining the pros and cons of each one. He even allowed us to handle the birds and made sure my 4-year-old felt confident and comfortable around them. We never felt rushed or pressured. Carlos genuinely wanted us to find the right match. He invited us to return in a few months for a DNA and health check to ensure everything continues going smoothly with our new pet. Our new Quaker parrot is adjusting beautifully. Just a day in, and he’s already exploring his cage, eating well, and chirping happily. This experience has been above and beyond what I expected. Thank you, Cheech Exotic Birds, for helping us find our newest family member!

Awesome. Carlos is wonderful. Knows his birds and products. We will make the drive back when we are ready to purchase another bird. Our Umbrella Cockatoo is beautiful and is just everything we have been wanting in a bird. We highly recommend. Thanks Carlos.

I was hesitant reaching out for a bird as we tried two other places and were not very encouraged after those experiences. Having bird experience, I thought a small bird would be perfect. My daughter wanted a cockatiel, we settled on a conure. Overall, dealing with these folks was awesome. Very knowledgeable, very family friendly, making it a great experience! We were shown all of them, talked about parents and genetics. We talked about the process after taking our member home. I waited a couple days. Our conure, is spunky- much like a toddler! Healthy and happy! My daughter is so in love. We appreciate you! Thank you! Our little Gator- post terrorizing needing to recharge!

We have been looking at African Greys for years, decades actually. My boyfriend was notified that Carlos had one available for sale, and we couldn't have been happier. However, we live in Indiana, and the bird was located at Cheech Exotic Pets in Gainsville, Florida. Just like anyone else, our first thoughts were, how on earth are we going to get him home? To our surprise, our new parrot, Bo, was shipped to us in a pet crate two days later. He arrived with plenty of food and water, and he is the most delightful bird either of us have encountered. Bo is healthy, interactive and an absolute joy to both of us. Every day we find him being more active and entertaining, and we are looking forward to many more years with our new feathered friend. Carlos, thank you so much for the smooth transaction and for taking such good care of Bo in his younger years. He will have a forever good home here with us. With gratitude, Mike and Denise.
